Lehigh Southwest Cement

The cement manufacturing process begins with the mining of limestone at the quarry. Limestone is processed through a 2-stage crusher system and then stored in piles based on quality.

Feeders below the stockpiles work in conjunction with a cross-belt quality analyzer to blend and create an ideal preblended limestone.

The material is then crushed for a third time and sent to a covered preblend storage building. As the material enters this storage building, a slewing stacker creates a circular pile which further homogenizes the quality.
