How TX Active pollution reduction works:
Figure: As molecules of NOx are adsorbed onto the TioCem® surface, light activated Titanium Dioxide (TX Active) enables the photocatalytic reaction, oxidizing NO X into harmless NO 3 - . The resulting Nitrate (NO 3 -) salt then is free to wash away with rain water. The photocatalytic reaction can be repeated any time without consuming the photocatalyst.
TioCem with TX Active - what does it mean?
TX Active is a quality label for the photocatalytic activity of building materials. Together with the license partner, strict standards have been defined for the cement as well as for the produced final products. TX Active stands for the durable photocatalytic functionality of the finished product.
